Puprleheart Heirloom Collection

Upstate Fine Woodworking is proud to offer the Heirloom Collection Line. Cutting boards in these collections boast a specific wood species in each board. These boards are made to last a lifetime. Each board is named after a major city of the country where the wood species is harvested. 

This collection boasts an exotic wood called Puprleheart. True to its name, Purpleheart wood boasts a rich, violet-purple color. It also has a fine even texture and is very hard, dense, and durable. Some common names you may hear are purpleheart, Purple Heart, Amaranth, Pau Roxo, Violetwood, Peltogyne spp. It's origin comes from Central and South America.
